Mobile Crane Delivery Checklist

To operate a crane, it is legally required to conduct regular inspections to check for hazards or mechanical failures. Crane inspection ensures the crane is safe to use and serves you for a longer time. This inspection covers operating mechanisms, hooks and hoist chains. IT also looks for damage in locking devices and general wear and tear.

Is there a risk to general public and pedestrians with the lifting operation?
Is there adequate signage to assist movement of general public?
Is there adequate protection for pedestrians?
Is a clear access and egress to lifting areas provided?
Is SWMS completed by crane operator?
Is the SWMS signed off?
Has the operator provided a certificate of competency before operating the crane?
