Is the pressure gauge on the wet end system in proper working order?
Do hydraulic and backup pumps start easily without major leaks?
Are twister adjustable nozzles (17L–150L) available and functional?
Are 20mm/25mm brass or twister nozzles available?
Are lay-flat hoses (25mm × 30m × 6) in good condition?
Are lay-flat hoses (38mm × 30m × 6) in good condition?
Are adaptors available for connecting canvas lay-flat hose to rubber hose?
Are two 38mm canvas hose outlets provided?
Is a canvas hose pipe roll-up unit available and functional?
Is adequate lighting available at pumps and control panels?
Fire Store Check
Is the Fire Store clearly signposted?
Is the Fire Store easily accessible?
Does the Fire Store have both internal and external lighting in working order?
Is Fire Store housekeeping maintained (neat and clean)?
Is all equipment neatly stacked and stored in the Fire Store?
Is the stored equipment easily accessible?
Is the equipment properly color-coded?
Is all Fire Store equipment in good working order?
Is an inventory list of equipment available in the Fire Store?
Are inspection checklists available and being used?
Are torches and LED headlamps functional, with spare batteries available for each crew member?
Minimum Stock of Tool
Is an 8m suction hose with foot valve, strainer, camlock couplings, and float available?
Is an axle with cover available?
Are at least four operational beaters available?
Is a bow saw with spare blade and cover available?
Is an operational drip torch available?
Is a yellow petrol jerry can or brown diesel jerry can clearly marked and available?
Is an orange jerry can for drip torch fuel available?
Are four operational knapsack pumps available?
Is there at least 25L of drinking water clearly marked as “Drinking Water”?
Are four rake hoes with covers and one spade available?
Tool Box Check
Are jumper leads (>800 amps, 4.5–8m long) available?
Does the toolbox include screwdrivers (medium, large, Philips), fencing pliers, shifting spanner, and spark plug spanner?
Does the toolbox contain spark plugs and starter ropes for pumps?
Are O-ring seals for 38mm and Geka couplings included in the toolbox?
Does the toolbox have clamps that fit both lay-flat and rubber hoses?
Does the toolbox include a box of matches in a waterproof bag?
Vehicle Check
Are all grease nipples lubricated as per the vehicle handbook?
Are oil, fluid, and water levels correct?
Does the engine start easily?
Are all instruments and warning lights functional?
Are head, tail, park, brake, and indicator lights functional?
Are the horn/hooter and LED lights working properly?
Is a serviced fire extinguisher of correct type and size available?
Is a jack, wheel spanner, and warning triangle set available (jack suitable for vehicle)?
Are all tyres, including spares, in good condition and inflated as per manufacturer’s standards?
Is the recommended tyre pressure clearly displayed above each wheel?
Are reflectors/reflective strips covering at least 80% of vehicle length?
Are rear-view mirrors present and in good condition?
Are seat belts present and functional in the cab?
Are rubber covers on pedals in good condition?
Are two wheel chocks available (metal or plastic)?
Is the radio present and functional?
Are there no leaks in hydraulic pipes or tanks?
Are there no loose items or excess dirt in bins?
Is the vehicle neat and clean overall?
Are windshield wipers in good working condition?
